Frederick joined the community in February 2001 when Lothgar opened the doors for another wave of testers for the game Dransik. He mainly kept to himself but enjoyed the simple world of the tile based game. Such a vast world had been created with 16x16 tiles and he thought it would be really cool to create something that people from all around the world would explore and enjoy. Frederick grew more with the community and followed Lothgar to this new project after being a DWC member and GM for him in Dransik. He volunteered to create a few points of interest for Elderlands and Lothgar brought him onto the design team.

Tex first became a member of the community back in March of 2001 when he started playing one of Lothgar-s earlier games. He was in college at the time. His time playing Lothgar-s games accounted for more than one dropped class due to late nights. But he persevered and later achieved his Bachelor of Arts from Texas A&M in Corpus Christi, where he still resides. Tex has brought to life all of the character images seen in Elderlands.

WonTon recently completed a one year Game Design course at the Vancouver Film School and is now looking to get a job in the games industry as an artist. He dreams of being a concept artist, but is very passionate about all forms that the art of games takes. He was drawn to 2D retro and pixel art a few years ago. At the time he was playing a game called Tibia and was consumed by a desire to work on their graphics and improve them, but instead took on the role of Art Director and Lead Artist for a 2 year project called Endless World. Unfortunately in the end this project fizzled due to lack of direction. Now he’s ready to do what he can to help out the team behind Elderlands.
